About
Tim Heineccius – business-side experience and technical delivery from one person
I am Tim Heineccius, a consultant for automating manual processes, based in Bonn, Germany. For more than ten years I have held leadership responsibility in the commercial environment of a large company, and alongside that I develop software myself. For my clients that means: I understand how departments work – and can then build the solution myself.

The client's perspective
I know both sides of the table.
For many years I have worked in commercial management at Deutsche Telekom, today as Head of Commercial Management for Interconnection Fixed & Mobile – part-time, alongside the consulting work. In that role I am myself a client and user of internal tools. I know how decisions come about in departments, which numbers have to hold up internally and why many tooling projects never make it into daily use. That experience feeds into every consulting project.
Consulting is an independent activity. Deutsche Telekom is my employer, not a client or partner of Heineccius Consulting.

Technical delivery
Concept and implementation from one person.
I started with Excel and VBA because the tools I needed in my working day did not exist. From there came Python automations, data pipelines, dashboards and eventually web applications. Today the range extends to the controlled use of language models. I am not an intermediary between client and development team: whoever analyses the process also builds the solution and hands it over.
- Excel/VBA, Python, TypeScript, SQL
- Data pipelines, web scraping, reporting and dashboards
- Web applications with database and user management
- AI-assisted processing of texts and documents with review steps
Own product
Chunkaudio: self-built, live, with paying customers.
Alongside consulting I run a product of my own: Chunkaudio is an audio splitter that runs entirely in the browser – no file ever leaves the user's machine. Designed and developed by me, publicly in use. It is a small product, but solid evidence that I don't just design software, I build and run it.
Way of working
What you can rely on when working together.
The problem first, then the tool
I start with the workflow, not the technology. If an Excel macro solves the task reliably, I build an Excel macro. If Excel is no longer enough, I say so – and if automation isn't worth it, I say that too.
Your code, your data, your independence
Source code, documentation and a walkthrough are part of the result. You can keep running any solution yourself or commission another provider. There is no password protection and no dependency on me.
Small steps, real data
Better a working version with your real cases early on than one big handover at the end. That way feedback flows in while changes are still cheap.

Which process are you still doing by hand?
Briefly describe what is done today and how. You get an honest assessment of whether and how the process can be automated – and a concrete quote if it makes sense. Some projects take a few hours, others run over several phases. I only quote once I understand the process.
